Summer is in full swing in our beautiful Campine region, and the Baalse Hei estate is buzzing with holidaymakers seeking peace and the great outdoors. But this week of August 9th to 14th, 2026, has a very special flavor: we have the immense pleasure of becoming the "base camp" for many education professionals!
The great gathering of Steiner schools
Indeed, Turnhout is currently hosting the famous Turnhoutse Zomercursus. This major annual event is a key highlight that brings together Steiner school teachers from all over Flanders. On their agenda: an intensive week filled with workshops, lectures, and inspiring professional exchanges to prepare for the upcoming school year with renewed energy and a head full of fresh ideas.
A haven of peace after a hard day's work
We all know that after days so full of learning and networking, being able to disconnect is essential. And that is exactly where Baalse Hei comes in! We are delighted to offer these teachers the perfect setting to recharge their batteries.
What could be better than trading seminar rooms for the quiet of the forest? Strolling along our ponds at dusk, waking up to the sound of birdsong, or simply sharing a warm, relaxed moment with colleagues over a good meal on our estate?
