Six of the 13 Flemish beguinages, which have been on UNESCO’s World Heritage List since 1998, are in or near the Kempen: Antwerp, Lier, Diest, Turnhout, Herentals and Hoogstraten.
And what about the trappist abbeys of the Kempen in Postel, Tongerlo and Westmalle ? Or maybe we should just mention their beers instead ?
